It is with great joy that I am able to announce Kevin Finkbiner is the new Lead Pastor of Grace Church of Glendora. Kevin’s nomination was affirmed by an overwhelming margin at the Congregational Meeting on March 10.

Kevin and his wife Maria began sensing that God was leading them to something new last June – just as Grace Church was beginning to ramp up its search for a new lead pastor. In August he was contacted by the search firm, NL Moore and Associates, about the position at Grace. As he and Maria prayed, they felt the Lord saying they should take the next step.

The Pastor Search Team had several excellent candidates that they interviewed. Through prayer, discernment and many rounds of questions, Kevin kept moving through the stages until he became the unanimous recommendation of the Search Team. Kevin met many Grace members last week at a series of town hall meetings and visits to different groups that met on campus. On Sunday, he preached in all the English services and brought greetings to the Spanish Congregation.

Common themes that emerged from those meetings were that people appreciated Kevin’s engaging personality, his clear thinking and thoughtful responses to questions. His heart for the Lord and people was also evident.

Kevin will preach at Grace Church on Easter Sunday. In April he will be working with staff and developing the preaching plan for the year. He will start preaching regularly May 5.

Thank you for your prayers for this process. Thank you for your continuing support and engagement with Grace Church. God has been faithful and gracious to our church and we know He has wonderful plans for the future.
