What Is Baptism?
Baptism is a way of publicly declaring that you have decided to follow Jesus.
Going under the water represents Jesus’ death and burial. Coming back out of the water represents His resurrection and the new life we have in Him.
Baptism doesn’t create that new life. It’s a response to what Jesus has already done and an act of obedience as we choose to follow Him.
